Skala Marion

Psili Ammos – Astrida Beach

Continuing along the southern coast, you reach the beautiful Psili Ammos, known for its soft white sand and shallow, crystal-clear waters.
Just a short distance to the west lies Astrida Beach, a more peaceful and natural spot with rocky surroundings and calm waters, ideal for swimming and relaxing away from the crowds.
Together, these two beaches offer a perfect combination of sandy comfort and untouched beauty, making them a great stop during your journey along the coast of Thassos.

Giola Natural Pool

Giola is a breathtaking natural pool and one of the highlights of Thassos.
For safety reasons, boats are not allowed to approach the area, as the rocky surroundings can cause serious damage.
On your way from Salonikios to Livadi, you’ll find the famous Giola—one of the most unique natural formations in Thassos.
Often referred to as the “Tear of Aphrodite,” this natural rock pool is carved into the coastal cliffs, creating a stunning setting where crystal-clear seawater fills a lagoon-like basin.
Recognized as one of the most iconic spots in Greece, Giola offers a truly unforgettable experience, combining wild beauty, dramatic scenery, and the feeling of swimming in nature’s own infinity pool.

Livadi Beach – Arsanás Beach

Leaving Salonikios behind and sailing west–northwest, you arrive at the stunning Livadi Beach, surrounded by rocky, pine-covered hills and dominated by the impressive cliff of the Archangel Michael Monastery.
Set in a dramatic natural landscape, Livadi offers crystal-clear waters and a peaceful atmosphere, making it an unforgettable stop along the southern coast.
Right next to it, at the base of the towering cliff, lies the small beach of Arsanás—once the old boatyard of the monastery. Its exceptionally clear waters are enriched by natural springs flowing from the rocks, creating a truly unique and refreshing swimming experience.

Aliki Beach

Sailing further west, you pass a series of small capes before reaching the striking marble peninsula of Aliki, surrounded by lush greenery and crystal-clear waters.
Two natural bays are formed on either side, creating sheltered coves with beautiful beaches and calm, inviting waters—ideal for swimming and relaxing in a truly unique setting.
Rich in history dating back to the 7th century BC, Aliki is also known for its ancient marble quarries. When the tide is low, seawater gathers in the marble formations, forming natural pools that gave the area its name and add to its distinctive charm.

A. Travelling North

Sailing along the western coastline of Thassos, parallel to the road from Skala Maries to Limenas, you come across a series of small and larger beaches, each with its own unique charm.
From quiet, hidden coves to more organized spots near seaside villages such as Klisma, Skala Kallirachis, and Skala Sotiros, this route offers a variety of landscapes and experiences.
With crystal-clear waters and easy access points, the west coast is perfect for relaxed cruising, swimming stops, and discovering authentic seaside locations along the island.
